PUBLIC NOTICE
The President of the Republic of Hungary
HAS CALLED
A NATIONAL BINDING REFERENDUM.

The questions put to the referendum:
Do you agree that public health service providers and hospitals should remain in state and local government ownership, and that Parliament should therefore repeal the law which is inconsistent with this?

Do you think Parliament should pass a law allowing Hungarian citizenship with preferential naturalization to be granted to those, at their request, who claim to have Hungarian nationality, do not live in Hungary and are not Hungarian citizens, and who prove their Hungarian nationality by means of a "Hungarian identity card" issued pursuant to Article 19 of Act LXII/2001 or in another way to be determined by the law which is to be passed?

The voting date:

5 December 2004 Sunday

Voting lasts from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Voters will receive a notice on their inclusion In the register 
until 6 November 2004.
The register
can be inspected
from 6 November to 13 November 2004
At the Mayor’s Office.
VOTERS MAY VOTE PERSONALLY, AT THEIR DOMICILE.
Voters away from their domicile on the day of voting but staying in Hungary may vote inside the country with a certificate. Voters may apply to the clerk of their domicile for the certificate personally or through a delegate at the latest 
by 3 December 2004. 
The certificate can also be applied for by registered mail in order for the application to be received by the clerk at the latest 
by 30 November 2004
Votes abroad may be cast at embassies.
Voters may apply to the clerk of their domicile for inclusion in the register at foreign representations personally or through a delegate,
in writing, at the latest
by 19 November 2004
Applications sent by registered must also be received 
by 19 November 2004.
