14. Information booklet on the initiation of the election of the members of local governments for minorities

Hungary acknowledges the minorities that live on its territory. Local governments for minorities are one of the repositories of collective rights minorities are entitled to have. Act LXXVII of 1993 provides for – 13 – minorities, and their local governments. The booklet sets forth in the 13 languages determined under the Act the conditions of calling local minority municipality elections, and the responsibilities of local election committees.
